Emily Howard works from her studio at home in central Stamford. She creates characterful and colourful paintings of all sorts of animals using acrylic paint on canvas. Having grown up in rural Rutland and Leicestershire, the surrounding nature and wildlife has always been her source of inspiration. Emily found her unique style during her A levels at school where she painted an extra colourful horse for a project and fell in love with the way it looked. She continued to paint that way, began to gain some interest and so started selling her work during the holidays throughout university. After completing a degree in Graphic Design & Illustration in 2021, Emily decided to take a leap and set up her own business selling Original Paintings, Limited edition prints and taking commissions/pet portraits. Currently, Emily is mainly working on commissions and pet portraits but has future plans to exhibit at shows/events, travel for inspiration and expand her range of original paintings.
